After our huge announcement a fortnight ago where we revealed our brand new Duals vegan sweets to the world, we are extremely proud to bring you even more exciting news!
Here at Sweets in the City, we believe in making the world a sweeter place and by doing so, we want to deliver our collection of delicious sweet treats to you, whenever and wherever we can. As a result, we have strived to make our sweets more accessible both online and offline and today, we can announce that we have taken offline availability to the next level by partnering with supermarket giant, Waitrose!
Our range of Duals vegan sweets is now available to buy from a select number of stores from all across the UK. Meaning you can get your Dual fix at any time and don't have to sit around and wait for them to be delivered from our website.

With the launch of our brand-new vegan-friendly Duals sweets on the 1st July, we thought we’d give you a little more information about them and why we wanted to bring them to you!
Firstly, we noticed a growing demand by customers for a sweet option that can be enjoyed in today’s current societal climate and met a number of dietary needs. Secondly, both customers and clients were looking for a contemporary sweet that not only tasted good but was creative and inspiring in its appearance and design. In answer to these two huge demands, we created our new Duals sweets, a product based on quality, taste and convenience!
Duals have been manufactured with a unique tool and mould that no other sweet on the market boasts, giving you a sweet choice that no other confectionery company can offer. Our Duals sweets contain a delicious pectin jelly centre, a vegan recipe that delivers a real fruit juice flavour. This is what makes our Duals sweets really stand out from the crowd as vegan pectin centres are not currently offered in the premium sweet marketplace, a niche area that we believe needs to be satisfied in a quality way. But what is pectin? Let’s take a look!
Delicious pectin centre
Unlike gelatine, which is an ingredient often found in sweets and is made from animal parts, pectin comes from berries and fruits. Many fruits such as quince and apples are naturally very high in pectin, which is the reason why they are so firm. When heated with sugar, pectin causes a thickening that is characteristic of jellies and jams, which is what is found within our new Duals sweets! As a result of being derived from fruits and berries, pectin is the perfect ingredient for a vegan-friendly product.
As well as being vegan-friendly, Duals are also gluten-free and produced with a dairy-free recipe that contains natural colours and flavours. But this doesn’t mean that we’ve substituted a great taste, you can still expect a mouth-watering sweet option whether you’re in the cinema or grabbing a quick snack for your commute home. With our 125g and 50g options, our Duals sweets can be enjoyed at any time or any place with anyone. The Event
The last 6 months have been a whirlwind of business preparations for Sarah Lynn. Since a historic joint-winning of the 2017 series of The Apprentice, Sarah has been busy readying Sweets in the City for its official launch. On Thursday 7th June, that day finally came, when Lord Alan Sugar and Sarah came together to celebrate their co-owned business.
The event was inundated with sweets – from delicious jars of joy, to personalised letter box treats, the array of treats was vast. Most notable were the incredible sweet portraits created for Lord Sugar.
The pop art display was created by street artist ‘BareFace’ and the recreation of Lord Sugar’s face in sweets was the work of food artist Nathan Wyburn – both of which Lord Sugar was very pleased with. It reportedly took Nathan 10 hours to create the sweet portrait of Lord Sugar, which features 3,000 sweets total.
The pair also appeared on This Morning to discuss all things Sweets in the City with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield; from letterbox treats, to the specialist dietary sweets on offer. Of course, there was also mention of the legendary 2017 final where Lord Sugar crowned two winners (the first of its kind in the history of the BBC TV series!).

Welcome to the brand new Sweets in the City website!
As many of you might know - I'm Sarah Lynn, founder of Sweets in the City and as of December 2017 I became one of Lord Sugar's business partners!
For those of you that don't know Sweets in the City yet - we are a premium sweet gifting company that create and pack beautifully presented sweet gifts, taking inspiration and trends from everything going on around us to keep sweets firmly and stylishly in the 21st century! Building the new website has been an incredible adventure and Designer Websites our partner on the project have understood the vision and helped us bring everything to life beautifully.
I will be writing a regular blog on the new site to keep all of our fabulous customers and supporters up to date on what we are doing. I plan to write a little bit about my journey both professionally and personally since winning The Apprentice in 2017, in the hope that it might inspire anybody within a business or as a business owner however big or small - to be passionate and achieve the most you can from it.
Since winning the show and Lord Sugar becoming my partner in the new business we have a number of exciting things happening. The production unit has had an extension built to allow us to grow and develop all of the ideas we have for 2018, the new website has been created and launched with our wide range of gifts including a variety of Shakes, Jars, Lollipops and Treat Boxes, as well as the brand new Letterbox Treats offer that was talked about on the final of The BBC Apprentice.
I believe the new website offers something for everyone, with styles and sweet mixes to suit all ages and palettes. Individuality and personalisation is really important to me, and it has never tasted so good on the new platform! Each one of our gifts can be product customised with wording of choice, to add a special touch and make sure it is as unique as the person receiving it. There is also a handy calendar reminder service for upcoming events, a subscription service for sweet explorers, a stylish corporate catalogue for co-branded business goodies and even the opportunity to create your own giant lollipops.
